Valley of fire

Valley of fire is located on the way of zion national park. It took about an hour from north las Vegas. After driving about 15 miles on north 15 high way, there was another 18 miles driving to valley of fire.  The road has huge ups and downs and it was curved severely.

We needed pay $10 for entrance fee per vehicle. They asked us if we're local but unfortunately we're not.  I guess they give discount for local. We actually expected to have some desert style hiking but it was more like a place where people drive and drop by picture taking spot.

The pictures we took look pretty good. There was even writing on the rocks which makes things much cooler. I recommend any person to visit this place.

Red rock canyon

This red colored rock mountain is located at summerlin in las vegas. Of course it is very close to red rock casino. I heard summerlin is very good place to live but never been there. To me it looked very nice and quite.

Red rock canyon was very dried desert style mountain. Lots of people were there not to go on a hiking but to take a picture. They are with their dogs. What surpprised me was they don't pick up dog poops. Because of it there was lots of dog poops every where, especially on entrance of the hiking track.

After fisinished hiking, I found out I need to go all the way around by car to get out of the canyon. The road was only one way drive. We drove almost 15minutes and finally could see the entrance.

Admission fee was waived by annual national park entrance (it is issued free of change if with military id)

there is few candy stores in vegas. this is one of those. there were lots of candies and crazy looking jellies.

They have beautiful Christmas tree and free show for this year.

The tree has various colors of lights and changes every few seconds. We got a good picture even if it was on Saturday night. It usually hard to get a good picture because there are always persons who pass by. I guess it is because either people went to club or went for shopping. 

the smallest ice rink in the world. It seems like they have never skated before. 

A lot of people were fall down often and crushed each other.

Tough mudder at Las Vegas

I went to tough mudder at Las Vegas to work as a volunteer worker. The place for tough mudder was pretty far from Las vegas with about 2 and 1/2 hours away from north Las Vegas. I needed to wake up at 2:30am because I had to be at the place 30 minutes earlier then 6am. I got to the place at 5:30am. It was pretty crazy to drive that far toward north which was past by creech AFB (about 40 min away from where I live), I 've never seen creech AFB but I heard a lot about it because one of my friend's husband works there. It was pretty small base with nothing going on around. anyways... I drove to the place which is called beatty. That was little small town with the rest area where the truck driver can rest or RV people can pass by.

Keg Toss!

Tough mudder was overall very nice challenge. Because I was a volunteer worker so I only saw the Start & Finish point. when I saw the people coming at the end, they looked so happy they finished the race which had been pretty challenged physically and probably mentally. I would like to participate shorter race when there's the chance. 

Italian festival in Las Vegas

      My husband and I decided to go to Italian festival on Saturday. We got the ticket before we get there to avoid long time on the entrance. Because we got there around 4pm, there weren't much people. We got to get in the festival place easily. There were much space for the packing. It was not the problem of parking.
