You must heard of how humid it is in Misawa. Before I come here, I lived in Las Vegas where there was not much humidity but just straight hot and very dried. Lots of people warn me about misawa summer, and they said it gets really hot and it is intolerable. Summer in misawa sometimes like winter in las vegas. It pretty much rains everyday non-stop all day long. because of the location where misawa is, there's sea shore right next to the city and a lake all around the base, It gets really humid in summer time. It is hot not because of the sunshine or something, but because of the humidity - about 80% to 90%. Dehumidifiers really help reduce the unpleasant feeling from sticky weather, the picture is showing there's only one dehumidifier left on the shelves at BX. The narrowest selection of home appliance we have here in misawa, I recommend you to buy one in the states that meets your expectation and bring it to misawa when you pcsing. It will help a lot all year around. this humidity is the thing that you might never felt before unless you have been to amazon one time.
How does the outlet system work in Japan? Are the outlet plugs and electricity the same as in the states or do you have to buy converters or anything like that?
ReplyDeleteI am currently living on base housing which is same outlet plugs and electricity as U.S one. Every U.S products work perfectly.
DeleteTo answer your question, The outlet system is same in japan 110v but her in misawa, it uses 110v,50Hz,Tokyo it uses 110v,60Hz. there will be a explanation on the product if it supports the Hz using in Japan. I will post the map on the other post. Off base housing usually comes with air-conditioner and heater. (some doesn't have food waste disposer or dish washer)
